Surf Life Saving Club adds IRB division to Club
Croyde club finally gets it’s first fully fledged Inshore Rescue Boat Crew.
Under the expert tuition of Richard Harrison (Saunton IRB trainer), Sam Day received his crew qualification, along with Jed Hulme who received his drivers qualification, both with surf endorsements. Many thanks to Phil Hill (RNLI) who carried out the exams, and also took the opportunity to coach the guys in some of the new RNLI rescue & recovery techniques. Also in the picture are two newly qualified Saunton crew; Ian Allen & Chris Gratton. Croyde now have 1 Driver (Jed Hulme), three Crewmen (Tony Wright, James Hood & Sam Day) with a further 2 more crew in training (Joel Blackman & Carl ’Lurch’ Priscott). If anybody else is interested in IRB training please speak to Jed or any of the IRB guys. The only thing missing now is the boat......................sponsors please!!!
